Dear Marshall,
Well, you are officially closer to being a 1 year old than you are to being a newborn.
I could seriously eat you right up. You are such a sweet baby. When you are held, you often reach up to stroke the face of the person holding you. Ah! It's the sweetest! You are so smiley and have started laughing more and more. Your scared face still cracks me up. You get this uncertain look on your face right before that lip juts out.But you love the ABC song and instantly smile when we start singing it. You're very ticklish! I love tickling you and hearing your lil belly laugh!
Your bottom gums have swollen where those first two teeth are trying to poke through.
You are constantly gnawing on your bottom lip and making the cutest faces in the process!
You're drooling up a storm, though it is definitely worse some days more than others.
Your skin has finally started showing more sensitivity. Owen always had sensitive skin, so I wondered if it was just a matter of time before you developed the same thing. Sure enough, you have a full chest of eczema, and patchy areas on your legs as well.
You are still not interested in solid food. I try maybe once a week but you make a face and spit it out every time. Despite that, you've continued to grow and are now almost entirely in 18 month clothing. It's hard to believe all of the clothes you got at Christmas are already packed away. :(
You just this week started regularly rolling over.
You still haven't figured out how to sit up on your own and don't even hold your balance very well when sitting with support.
BUT, despite all of that, you do find a way to scoot around. You lay on your back and use your heels to scoot backwards. The only problem with this, is that when you're in your crib and do this, you occasionally end up scooting yourself right up into the corner to the point where you can't turn your head. Needless to say, you're not too happy about it when that happens!
You're still not that into jumping in the exersaucer we keep in the basement. And you've pretty much outgrown the swing and bouncy seat. So, we had to figure out where we were going to put you when we need to set you down on the first floor. So, a walker it is!
You're happy in there- most of the time...
When laying down, you love to stick your legs up in the air. I first noticed you doing this is the tub, but you pretty much grab your toes all the time now.

In regard to sleep, you take 2 good naps a day. You are usually down by 10am and again after lunch time. We finally bit the bullet and let you cry it out. at night. And praise the Lord, it worked! You just this week started sleeping through the night 8 hours!
Owen still thrives on going to get you in the morning. He says he has to be the one to open your door and proceeds to run over to greet you. He's even been caught on the video monitor sneaking out of his own room at nap time to go visit you in yours!
He takes pride in his ability to cheer you up, whether it be by piling toys all around you, laughing hysterically in your face, or by singing you songs. And I have to be honest, he does a pretty good job! You clearly love your big brother. And I love seeing that smile spread across your face when you see him.
These next few months are so fun developmentally, and I can't wait to see more of your personality shine through.

Happy 7 months, Marsh!
