Dear Marshall,
I'm trying to focus on the fact that you are now 11 months old, and not so much on the fact that you will be one YEAR old next month. I cannot wrap my mind around that one just yet.
We've been spending a lot more time outdoors lately. You LOVE the water. You are content to just sit and splash.
You now have both of your bottom front teeth. And when you give us your squinty-eyed smile, I can't help but grin right back at you.
You still aren't really mobile... though you do find a way to roll, scoot, and stretch your way to reach things. And despite your not crawling, you are noticeably more curious and into exploring things.
Like your newest cousin, Christina. :)
You aren't pulling up, but when we stand you up, you stand on your tippy toes.
And when you are sitting or lying down, chances are you'll have at least one foot in your hand (or your mouth). This is apparently your preferred position. :)
When you're not eating your toes, you're eating just about anything else. Your current favorites include: mashed potatoes, pasta and beef. You love your sippy cup of water, but can't quite figure out a straw cup- this is funny to me because Owen was just the opposite.

You are a great daytime sleeper. You take a morning nap most days- whether it be in your crib at home, or in the car if we're out running errands. Basically, if you're tired you'll sleep.
You adore your cousin, Sydney, and it's more than obvious that she feels the same. :)
I mention your and Owen's relationship every month. It's so awesome to see how it grows and how Owen finds more and more ways to play with you. You're super ticklish and love to laugh.
It's funny to see that brotherly bond forming...and the bickering that will surely develop too!
Owen had been boycotting baths for a LONG time now, in favor of showers. But I think seeing you splashing around, playing in the tub finally convinced him to give baths another shot.
We love you so much, Marshall. Your face lights up my day!
Happy 11 months, big guy!
